Hidradenitis Suppurativa can take its toll on our bodies in many ways. We already deal with the usual pains and discomfort of the wounds and lesions. But HS can also cause us to walk differently. Sometimes we sit differently and our posture can be affected. Practicing daily yoga can help

HidraWear has teamed up with the most wonderful  instructor Ana Maria Conneely. Ana is a movement and wellbeing expert and speaker. She has been teaching since 2013 and she is also a massage therapist, nutritional advisor and host of The A Way to Live Well podcast.

The great thing about yoga is that anyone can do it. You don’t have to be a yogi to feel the benefits. People of any age can take part, young and old, overweight or slim,  it doesn’t discriminate. Practicing your new moves, even just a few minutes every day can give you the power to calm your mind, and strengthen your body.

Over the coming weeks we will publish a series of short yoga videos tailored for people living with HS.  Yoga can help us relieve muscle pain and stretch out those limbs. It can also help us improve our posture. In this first  instalment, we look at how we can improve our posture after years of holding a protective stance to reduce the pain from HS in the armpits.
