This Valentine’s day, most of us will be stuck at home… so why not make the most of it. Celebrate the love with a significant other, family member or friend and try to focus on the love and support that surrounds you.
To make it easier for you, we have put together some fun ideas you can do from the comfort of your own home.
1. Have a Valentine’s Bake-off
Who doesn’t love a good bake-off? Get those oven gloves and aprons on and head to the kitchen for a friendly competition to see who can make the best Valentine’s day dessert. Extra points if it’s heart shaped.
2. Have an indoor picnic
Picnic’s are a really thoughtful gesture. Don’t let the cold weather stop you. Break out the cosy blankets, and a few cushions and enjoy some delicious food.
3. Take a relaxing bath
Turn on the hot water, add your favourite essentials oil, dim the lights, light the candles, turn on the music and let your troubles melt away.
4. Plan a movie marathon
Get cosy by re-watching some of the romantic classics like The Notebook, P.S. I love you or Sleepless in Seattle.
5. At-home massage/facial
Transform your home into a spa. Light some candles, turn on some soft music, and take turns giving each other a relaxing facial or massage.
6. Stretch it out
Look up a YouTube tutorial and take the time to unwind and remember the importance of self-care, one breath at a time.
7. Make a scrapbook of your relationship
Gather up all the memories you have at hand – pictures, concert tickets, cinema stubs and so on. Sit together and make a beautiful book of memories that you will both treasure.
8. Breakfast in bed
Treat your significant other (or yourself) to a yummy breakfast in bed. Lounge around and enjoy the change of pace from the usual hustle and bustle in the mornings.
